CAN I PUT WAX ON PPF?
Yes, you can apply wax on top of Paint Protection Film (PPF). However, we recommend using waxes or sealants that are silicone-free and non-abrasive to avoid damaging the film’s surface. Ceramic coatings are also a great option to add extra gloss and protection on top of PPF.
HOW DO I MAINTAIN PPF?
Maintaining PPF is simple:
Wash your vehicle regularly using a pH-neutral car shampoo.
Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive sponges that can scratch the film.
Dry with clean microfiber towels to prevent water spots.
For the best results, consider using a ceramic spray or PPF-specific sealant to enhance shine and durability.
CAN YOU PUT PPF ON CHROME?
Yes! PPF can be applied to chrome trim and surfaces. It helps protect chrome from scratches, rock chips, and oxidation, while also making it easier to clean. The film is nearly invisible and won’t affect the shine of your chrome.
CAN YOU INSTALL PPF ON THE WINDSHIELD?
Traditional PPF is not designed for windshields, but there are specialized clear windshield protection films available. These are engineered to withstand wiper movement and impacts from rocks or debris, helping reduce chips and cracks while maintaining visibility.
IS IT SAFE TO USE AN AUTOMATIC CAR WASH WITH PPF?
Yes, but with caution. While PPF is durable, touchless car washes are recommended. Automatic washes with spinning brushes can cause swirl marks or premature wear on the film. For the longest life of your PPF, hand washing is always best.
